Banyan Tree Residences | Dubai
We were struck by the beautiful lush nature of the location of this tenth floor 2-bedroom apartment boasting skyline and golf course views. We developed a design story around an 'urban oasis' that inspired the furnishings, based on a selection of artworks that tied everything together and provided a unique focal point.
With this warm, desaturated colour scheme, we played with light textured wallcoverings, warm French grey tones, and linen curtains to create a natural but refined aesthetic.
Nature and urban combine in a series of artworks featuring leaves of various plants on mottled warm grey backgrounds. Guests enjoy a spa-like sense of tranquillity in the living room with a macro photo of water droplets thoughtfully placed in a niche. The stacked slab-like coffee table implies a sense of calm balance while bringing a subdued urban character. With its soft white wood and unexpected texture, the 6-seater dining table adds a subtle but sophisticated touch to the space.
As a nod to the locality, the bedrooms feature palm leaf artwork and an arched mirror in the master bedroom. A channel tufted headboard complements the palm leaf artwork and is paired with dark-stained walnut wood dresser.
An understated mood is set by a moody photograph of desert dunes, which is contrasted with a lacquer white dresser with custom marble pulls that continue to evoke a sense of luxury.
The space is kept soft and inviting with a curated assortment of accessories in organic forms and earthy textures.
