Marquise Square | Dubai

The design of this studio property was inspired by its downtown location and edgy, beautifully detailed architectural interiors that have a refined industrial feel.

We chose to create a sense of depth by applying a deep, steely blue paint to the main wall that served as a backdrop, grounding the space. The abstract artworks feature mark-making techniques that add interest and speak to the urban rhythms of the surrounding area, in a neutral and monochromatic palette.

To add sophistication to the palette, we selected furnishings in desaturated warm tones and contemporary silhouettes; the bed was upholstered in a soft denim blue, while the custom made sofa was upholstered in a french grey high performance velvet. The 2-person dining table and sleek black chairs bring in a moment of the industrial style, while the monochromatic rug plays with the idea of rhythm that was introduced in the artworks and adds another layer of texture to the space, ensuring it stands out to prospective guests.
